IE8 "Not Responding"

I am using IE8 (with Windows 7 Ultimate) and I keep getting the "Not Responding" message. Also IE8 is running slowewr than a couple of weeks ago.

Anyone else having this problem or any suggestions/solutions?

Do the usual stuff. Run a virus scan, run CCleaner to clean junk up, defragment your drive, etc. Should run faster.

You may either want to reset IE8:
Control Panel=>Internet Options=>Advanced Tab=>Reset...restart your browser.

I've done all that and, if anything, the problem has got worse ...and it's running even slower!

Try rebooting everything especially the modem/router/switch (which may be one device or three separate devices). To check/repair the pc:
1) sfc /scannow (from a command prompt),
2) c: (properties) "disk cleanup"
3) c: (properties) Tools Tab: "Error Checking"

It's running "slower" because you deleted your cache and the browser needed to rebuild it when you visited the websites again.

Go to "manage add-ons" and see if there's any stuff that have long load/navigation time, and disable them, unless you really need them.
