For some reason, IE x86 and IE x64 keep saying that Protected Mode is off, but when I go into the security settings, it says Protected Mode is enabled. What is going on? Here's a screenshot (note: it's hard to see the checkmark next to "Enable Protected Mode, but trust me, it's there):

Oh, I didn't know UAC and Protected Mode are intertwined. I disabled UAC temporarily to install some new icons and didn't turn it back on.

I just turned on UAC and now it's fine. Thanks.

You're Welcome,
I just happen to notice it one time when I had mine off. Glad it was a simple fix.:D

As a matter of fact, I am. That's the problem isn't it? Now, the question is, am I really not in protected mode, or does it just say that I am not because I am running as the hidden administrator?

The hidden administrator account does not get encumbered by UAC because it is already elevated to "Administrator" status. So yes, you are running IE with god powers. You should defiantly not be running any internet facing with such level of power.
