IE8 wont save my passwords.

Im sure ive read about this before but i cant find much info.
Im using W7 7260 x86 and while i dont use IE8 much it seems that any time i go to a forum (for example) i have to log in.
Im wondering if i need ot turn something on to remember my details.
Im sure it does remember them for a few days but not much longer IIR.

Thanks for any help. Firefox works fine, as does Chrome.

goto tools>internet options>security> move slider to bottom ... this will enable 3rd party cookies ... problem solved ...

Thanks for the quick replies.
Ive now done as sugested and put the slider right to the bottom.
Ill see how it goes but i didnt change anything to start with and i have been getting the details saved, just not for long.

Begging Tews pardon, unless you are computer savvy, enabling cookies will only bring a lot of grief in the near future.

Go to Tools/Internet Options/Content/AutoComplete Settings, mine has all the options ticked.

Also, I would go to Tools/Inter Options/Security/Trusted Sites and add all the sites you go, that you trust of course, and require login/pass. This will help the AutoComplete section.

Once there, head over to the Privacy Tab, click on the Advance button and tick "Override automatic cookie handling"... Use "Prompt for both First Party & Third Party Cookies.

For the next couple or few weeks, this will be a bit annoying as everytime you go into a site, it will ask you whether or not you want to set/allow a cookie instead of just rape you with it. After a while, you will no longer get ask since you always visit the same sites with the exception of the new sites you visit here and there.

some site Cookies contain scripts that are Malware or Anti Spyware and other scripts that may not be harmful to your computer but it will slow it down in the process.

You would be surprise to learn how many cookies an alleged safe site like msn.com wants to install on your drive, let alone those deemed Unsafe.

Ill see how i go with the first soloution for a while.
Im normally ok with all this and havent changed much in the settings. It seems to be only this one PC its happening on, i have two others running W7 and IE8 works fine on them.
