IE9 - How to remove kaspersky addons ?

Hi,
I have removed Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 from my system but the KIS URLs Check and Virtual Keyboards addons are still shown in the IE9 Manage Add-ons.

How can I remove these KIS add-ons completely from being displayed in IE9 ?

BTW, I have used the below mentioned utilities to remove all KIS leftovers in the system, but I'm still unable to find the unwanted KIS addons:


Utilities used:
Revo Uninstaller PRO, SysInternals AutoRuns, the Remove in More Information (in IE9 Manage Addons) is also greyed out.

Is it the same if you try removing them via Control Panel > Internet Options > Programs > Manage Addons?

Have you tried running the Removal tool for Kaspersky Lab products?

If neither of these help I'd try reinstalling KIS and then see if the remove option is returned (edit: at which point you can also see if these can be uninstalled via the KIS interface). If so remove the addons first and then run the Removal tool for Kaspersky Lab products to uninstall the software.

Not being funny, though are you certain of this? As potentially they may cause issues when installing other AV software.

Yes, I tried without avail.

Too much hassle, as I have already installed Norton Internet Security 2011.

Very unlikely. They are just IE add-ons and if disabled they are unoperational.

I agree it's pretty unlikely other than when it involves either KIS or Comodo uninstalls! I've spent hours resolving bad uninstalls for these two, on other peoples machines, and just wanted to know if your comment was absolute.

Yes, found the 2 folders in the registry.
Deleted and restarted IE9 but the add-ons still around.
I will try to restart the PC and come back later with the outcome.

When viewing the add-ons in the manage addon-ons area, there should be a "More information" option. If you click that while you have the problem add-on selected, it will display the location of the source files to the add-on (amongst other information relating to it.)

Restarted the PC with a new problem, I could not use the mouse. Use the keyboard to locate the mouse controls at the Start Menu. A new software, Microsoft Intellipoint 8.1 setup was downloaded automatically by the system. However, I couldn't reach the 'small tick box' to accept [I accept this agreement] with the keyboard TAB to install the software. Any idea, i.e., which key in the keyboard to use ? p/s Currently, using my netbook to login here.

Hi,
Managed to remove the KIS add-ons in IE9 by deleting a few folders in the registry, according to the Class ID.

Do NOT disable / delete the following KIS driver (leftover - autorun entry), as it will prevent the usb mouse from starting after reboot.

• [Kaspersky Lab Mouse Class Filter at c:\windows\system32\drivers\klmouflt.sys]
