IE9 - How to remove the disabling add-ons pop-up

IE has a system pop-up that tells the user that disabling toolbars will speed up IE. It appears at the bottom of the window. I want to know how to disable this from IE9.

Elsewhere in these forums <http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3652-local-group-policy-editor-open.html> are the instructions for using the Group Policy Editor to do this; but… gpedit.msc is not available in Win7 HomePremium edition. The post I saw says that HomePremium users have to edit the registry manually.

I'm happy to do a registry edit but which entries do I have to edit and what values do I have to use, please?

Other forums suggest setting the time delay to some seconds but this merely affects the time it takes for the pop-up to appear. As I am helping a number of elderly users who find this pop-up annoying/irrating/confusing, I want to stop it appearing at all.

A list of regisrty entries to be changed and/or search terms to find the required entries plus the values to be used to stop this pop-up will be much appreciated, thanks.

You can do this by using the command bar (right click the thin blue bar underneath where the tabs for ie9 appear and select command bar)
Select Toolbars -> Disable Add Ons -> Tell me when the delay caused by add ons exceeds xxx seconds.

See which add ons are causing the problem and make the time slightly more.

I have used what is referred to as the Add On Performance Advisor as previously mentioned meaning that I increased the time. This has stopped all instances as you are referring to and it has not re-occured even after a fresh reboot. I have not had it ask yet if I would like it to remember passwords either which I always answer no to (that one annoys me). I just hope that now it ISN'T actually remembering the passwords and I guess I'll change it back to how it was if this is the case.

Now - from the information I came across, by changing this setting above it's default (meaning changing the time to above .2 of a second) this is also changing a setting within the registry. In some cases the AOPA does not reappear again at all and if you do want to see it again you need to reset a registry key- which is why as I say that the key must be getting altered when applying a non- default timing to add ons.(this is how I am understanding it anyway)

As I said, I've tried it on my system and haven't seen it pop up since. By the way, in case you didn't know, I'm pretty sure that Group Policy Editor is only available in versions of Windows 7 from Professional upward.

Edit: I have just followed the instructions to alter the registry key value as described in the linked out article. I have done a reboot and thus far there are no issues with my system- all seems good and I can open the AOPA again in the command bar,....,.....
