IE9 not impressed..slightly disappointed.

more of a random ramble about my hatred for IE9 here.
I'm not thoroughly happy with IE9 at all. there are several annoying quirks about it that get on my nerves. none of these were present with IE8.

1. often in forums I have to click on things 2 times to get a response.
2. often pages will not load completely or take over 8 seconds to start loading.
3. often things just will not display at all. I have to resort to using firefox to see them.

4. sometimes I'll be typing and the menu pops up and starts using keyboard shortcuts and I lose everything I've been typing or it goes back a page etc.
5. I def do not like the new download manager. especially since it's like firefox.
if anyone knows ways I could correct these I'd like to hear it. because as of now, I'm just going to stop using IE9.

Same here, I've been using IE9 since it was released and have had none of the problems you mention.

If you don't like it, there are plenty of other good browsers to use: Chrome, Firefox, Safari etc..

well the keyboard thing might be my keyboard. it's a microsoft comfort curve 2000. and has a bunch of those keyboard shortcut things all over it. but the issue of the shortcuts only happen in IE9.

I'll tell ya it's very annoying to lose all of your reply to a post because of it.

Try Steps 1, 2 and 3 first.
Then use IE and see if problems are gone.

If you still have problems go to Step #4-9.

Also double check the keyboard. Won't hurt.

you know there is a link for IE with no add ons or extensions (like a fresh install of IE)in the start menu

but no none of that works for me either way I go about it. IE9 is just not cutting if for me.

I read the better version is the 32 bit not the 64 bit. This is the verson I am now running and it is fine - far better than my last attempts with FF which I once loved.

Never thought about they could be using the IE 9-64bit version.
Definitely want to use the 32bit.

Microsoft has outlined some prerequisites that must be met for a successful install.

I've also read that once IE9 is installed, the computer must be rebooted twice before opening IE9. I can't remember what site I read that on (might have been CNET or Maximum PC) but the extra minute or two for a second reboot shouldn't be too intrusive on anyone's busy schedule. That's how I installed IE9 on several computers and none of them has any issues. If all else fails Microsoft offers free support (Get Help Now, top right corner in above link.)

I looked up "Windows Live" (as in Live Essentials or the Live website) and the only problem mentioned has to do with "Windows Live Photo Gallery import wizard"
