IE9 Q's

I've read & looked it over & although I like it, before I DL, I have a few Q's.

1. Will I be able to resize back to normal the Back button, it looks crappy.
2. Will I be able to move the Favorites back to the Left?
3. What will happen to my Canon Easy-WebPrint EX menu (please see pic)?

2. Permanently? No. Temporarily, yeah you can move it to the left with that arrow.



But it will go back to the right as soon as you close it, or the browser. You can use the Favorites bar, and make a New Folder and put your bookmarks in it like I did. Uses the old style menu, but it stays on the left side.



3. If the Canon is some Toolbar associated with your Canon software, I couldn't tell you that it would 100% work or not. Most likely would still work I would think.


You can always uninstall IE9 after testing it out and the system will revert back to IE8 if you don't like it. Or use a Virtual Machine to test it out in. The latter suggestion (if viable) might be a better solution to see if you like it first hand before installing it.

When you temporarily move it to the left, what happens to the Favorites icon on the right?

Yes, my Canon Easy-WebPrint EX menu is a Toolbar; so I think you are right in thinking it would still work.

Thanks for the uninstall link just in case I do decide to install IE9. I've also read that IE9 is still a big resource hog, true?

Those are the same people that think anything that uses 4 MB of RAM is a resource hog. Pay no heed to such nonsense of "resource hog" this and that. Its all bogus and meaningless. Besides I bet you have more RAM then I do.

I still can't believe MS left the Back button that way either. To me it just looks really sloppy and unprofessional the way the button is cut off and buried.

But it's only cosmetic, so meh.

The favorites icon still stays on the right side, when you pin the favorites to the left side temporarily. You can't move the icon to the left, no.

IE9 isn't a resource hog. No much more than any other browser is. For the most part in how many users use browsers for a big chuck of using a system anyways, the little bit of resource usage is worth it. I wouldn't care about the resource usage unless I had 500MB of total memory available to my system. I have 12GB, so doesn't make a dent for me.

If you choose to display the Menu Bar it sits on the left and includes your Favourites folder too.
