On a website that I access frequently I am now having a problem when I try to click on a link on that site. Nothing happens. Some of the links do work however.
I have accessed the site on another computer and it works fine.
All other sites I visit work fine.
Thanks in advance.

Yes I have. I can't figure out why some links work on that site, but other don't even start. No turning circle arrrow in the upper task bar. I do get a javascript in the bottom task bar but not in the top one.

FYI. This site requires a log in to use it. The links I can't access would also allow me to log out. So, I am locked into this site without being able to log out. I have deleted my cookies with no luck. It's like I am logged in but can't use any links that would require me to log in. I can access those that don't require a log in.

Do you have any tracking protection lists enabled? Perhaps this could be the problem... See if the page you're experiencing issues with has a small blue icon in the address bar. If yes, click it and temporarily turn off tracking protection.

No, I don't have a blue icon. I did try the site on another computer and it works fine. So that narrows it down to mine. I have run CCleaner, reinstalled Java but still no luck.

I had the same problem with IE9. Then for awhile it was working, but then it reverted back to the problem. I finally got fed up with it and am back using IE 8. I know this does not answer as how to fix your problem, but just to let you know that others had the same problem.

If it persists on another browser, then it's either the webpage itself, or something you use on your own PC (probably the latter), maybe an ad blocker or something. Try to turn it off, whatever it may be, but I must note that talking about ad blocking methods is against the rules on this forum, so I can't go into details.

Somehow, I knew AVG is always there to screw something up.
Nevertheless, glad you resolved it. Please click the "Mark this topic as closed" at the top of your initial post ;)
