If I uncheck "auto volume", tv sound skips and crashes

I noticed that under settings, tv, audio, that the "auto volume" option was checked. If I uncheck it or if it's checked, the "dolby decoder settings" are greyed out and the bullet is on "nightmode". If I leave "auto volume" unchecked, and save the settings, the next time I watch tv, the volume skips like a broken record and media center throws a video codec error. All because of that setting. This only breaks watching OTA content.

Any ideas? What does that setting change? I could understand that setting under a MPEG card for DVD but not for this... If I do a 5.1 test in media center or windows, all works properly. I'm running HDMI out of my PC into my Denon and out to a Sharp LCD.

I'm using a ATI 4500 series card with the latest catalyst drivers and a avertv hybrid volar max usb tuner.

Thanks in advance!

Don't use Media Center so, can't help you, albeit you might try the "Tutorials Section" here on the Forums. There is a great deal of information on just about any subject or problem. :)
