Hi

I have an Msi gaming 5 motherboard.

Specification for Z97 GAMING 5 | Motherboard - The world leader in motherboard design | MSI Global

I was thinking if my motherboard stopped working what would i do?

To be honest when i first got this motherboard and tested the audio, to me it sounded so so good!

After a while the motherboard audio had stopped working (i don't know why but it just died on me). So i am now using an external sound card.

I built this desktop around July 2015 and it is still running solid. I might just upgrade RAM soon (im looking at 32gb).

So what would i do if this motherboard stopped working?

In the socket 1150 field, i have not seen a better motherboard than my Msi gaming 5. I think this socket of motherboards is dead now.

Are there any motherboards as good as this or better out there where if i had a problem with this motherhboard i could just swap it with the correct motherboard?

Good Morning, TechSeven,
I think if I had a motherboard that I knew was failing, I'd go on the web and see if I could find one for SALE.
Such things are often found on eBay. I just did that and found a bunch of them for SALE.

In my own experience, as a PC Builder and Tech, I've generally found MSI Products to be pretty good.

Good Luck!
