I'm getting more and more popup windows from Mozilla

I think I may have a virus, or some kind of pernicious malware app residing on my system now. I don't visit any unsavory sites, so I'm not sure how it found me. Maybe it's not even a virus. I don't know for sure what's going on. Basically, when I click some links, especially on career-related sites, like indeed.com and careerbuilder.com, I often get redirected to pages that say things like 'download such and such to clean your PC' and 'reimage windows 7 in 3 steps'. Is there a good app other there that wipes all kinds of maleware off a windows 7 machine? I'd prefer something free. I am just looking for recommendations.

download and run malwarebytes, free
and ADWcleaner.
let them do thier things
report your findings

I downloaded and ran ADWcleaner. It actually deleted IE and Firefox, but it left Chrome installed. I didn't expect that. I got a clean copy of Firefox, installed it, and found all my Bookmarks were in tact. Phew!! It seems like the popups are gone. I think I'm all set now. Thanks a lot!!
