Hello TS mate that may be a tall order seeing the state of things right now why that particular socket if you are going new why not a Skylake or are you going to use a lot of the original components.
A s for brands I like Asus and have built the last two with them but I have had issues them too but never with my old Sandy Bridge Gigabyte board. Giga are usually a bit cheaper than Asus but I reckon on par with Asus for quality.
Edit: I suppose I should have asked what are you using the machine for gaming or just general use??

Yep don't get me wrong Asus is ok it is just that the Gigabyte boards I have used have never been any trouble and I find they are generally better featured too but the board you linked look ok.
To be honest I have heard around the traps that MSI is not that much chop really so have neer been tempted to get anything MSI.
FWIW both my small and gaming laptops are Asus, my main desktop has a 1151 socket Asus and apart for the odd niggle can't complain.

It's a little difficult to find 1150 MB nowadays.
Fist choice would be for a Asus, second a Gigabyte, then Asrock or MSI.
As I don't need or use high performance graphics card, I normally buy a low cost Asus or Gigabyte.

Yep well that was what I was hinting at really Mega mate and I cannot see apart from the CPU that the other components would not fit a 1151 socket board and well they are easy found - so far??
Actually I have been thinking lately the AMD systems are getting more future proof than the Intel stuff but it's the OP's budget eh? Pus they are no slouch foe example I have my sons old build because the Ivy Bridge is down and it is an AMD set up and really on par with the Ivy an for the OP's info the parts are generally cheaper than the Intel stuff

I am running an Asus M5A97 r2 with an AMD FX6350 Vishera 6 core and it has been rock solid since I assembled everything about 2 years ago. 3.9mhz is the native freq and she's a whiz. See system specs. Socket is AM3+. I wasn't dead set on this mb/cpu combo but it was the best bang-for-the-buck I could find at the time (see your comment above). I recently installed a GTX Ti1050 4mg and it installed fine and came up first time with no issues at all. With a few tweaks its the best GPU I've ever run. Now, I'll run any config that does what I need at the price point comfy for me regardless of manufacturer, but the Asus/AMD combo is something OP might want to consider.

Yep Duane I would certainly consider one of the new Ryzens the 1600 is quite nice device for what I have read about it and at a reasonable price. I think or it seem to me that AMD are aligning their CPU's now along the lines of what Intel do with their i3 5 and 7 a good move it seems to me because in the past AMD CPU 's have seemed to be a mish mush of different levels of performance. At least I know with Intel I would never have an i3 better an i5 and well i7 is the best animal amongst them for me at least.
My son was always an AMD builder and is old build I have now is no slouch.
