Image manipulation

Hi ok i don't know where this is supposed to be posted sorry if it's in the wrong place

I have downloaded a jpg image and there is a smiley/angry face on the bonnet is there any way i can edit/remove it without ruining the image itself ( the image is of a Ford GT500 i'm crazy about them ) the angry face gif is placed on the front grill and totally runes the pic
I have PhotoShop CS6 but i have not really played around with it as it is very complicated

I don't know if the GFX Team has a tutorial on here for each type of thing they do or what you want exactly. You could follow directions given from someone if they have the file as well. that way they can instruct you on what to do.

Since you have PhotoShop CS6 and have to ask about altering a photo, I suggest getting a book with tutorials for using CS6. Even your local library should have Photoshop "how to" books". Even books for older versions Photoshop will get you started.

PhotoShop is a very powerful application and would be very hard to learn what it can do without instruction.

Yeah, ask all the questions you want.

Personally, if I have Photoshop questions I visit a digital photography forum or read a book. If I need computer advice I come to Sevenforums.com first.

It is probably easy to do. I would use Gimp. Can you post the picture in question so that we can see what needs to be done.

I still stand by my first post. The advice to use the Spot Healing brush or the Content Aware move tool is sound advice, but most new users would have trouble finding the proper tool, much less how to use it. Newbees even have trouble understanding layers.

I spent many years correcting and changing hi-rez drum scanner files for ad agency's. My employer would send me to Photoshop seminars every year, and I always learned new ways to do things.

I've found Photoshop Elements does everything I need to do now days, no need to spend the big $$$ for the CS versions. When I need to use LAB color mode or convert a file to CMYK, I use a really old version of Photoshop 4 I keep handy.

a good learning source is adobe tv. And try the help files in cs6 especially on spot healing, content aware and clone tools, as these are more than likely the best way to go.

You will learn hell of alot from a "good" book on PS and LR, but what one person says good isnt necessary someone elses
