Importing my address book

This question relates to Windows Mail not being on Windows 7. Downloaded Windows Live. My local internet provider walked me though setting up my local account OK. Tried to import my address book per Microsoft instructions. Choices are Windows address book, business card, Microsoft Office Outlook addresses, address book for current user (what you would think is the right one) and comma separated values. Nothing I do gets the desired result, my address book. What do I need to do now?

Where are you importing your contacts from?

Try first using this tutorial (Import, export, or change the format for contacts, the exporting bit) and then this one (Import contacts in Windows Live Mail).

I recommend you use a CSV file but it doesn't really matter.
