Importing PST file

I'm wanting to import a PST file into my Outlook 2013 and the process looks rather straightforward except confused on which to select below. Should it be Option (1) or (3)?

I had to do an image restore and in the process lost some emails but Carbonite was there as a safety net with some PST files. The image restore did restore some of my emails just not all. The PST file I'm wanting to import should have all my emails up to the current date.

If the imported items are of a later date than what is shown on your screen shot then I would suggest the First item, "Replace duplicates with imported items."

This should replace any duplicated older items with the latest ones.

That should bring you up to date.

Don't forget the password, which may affect on opening the PST file from another PC.
I did once quite long ago, for the boss, but unable to open as cannot remember the password.

Do take note, this PST file must not be from the CD /DVD, it PST must be not read only.
Meaning the PST file is active (able to read & write) when open, if not as "read-only" will failed to open.
