I remember when you joined us here, you became an instant friend to so many of us. We had good times, fun times and sad times with you. But we will always have the memories of your friendship forever. A good cowboy never passes away, they are just always seen riding off into the western sunset.
God Bless A Friend for Eternal Time.

A top little machine that hasn't let me down once since the day I removed it from its packaging over four years ago. It's done everything I could want, and more, all without a single issue. 10/10, Acer!!
Yes everyone very sad time for all and I think a timely reminder of how very short our stay here in this life is and to make every moment count.
I would like to say that my 66 times around the sun has been very short in hindsight and I haven't always made the best of choices so to the younger members make it count.
To us older phogies a timely reminder too to keep an eye on your won well being.
To everyone in SF I have to say I have nejoyed evry moment of it and have nmet some really pleasant people inclding Mike and a heart felt thank you to you all!!

Built my first computer (8Mhz 8088cpu, 640K RAM, 20MB HDD, 2 360K floppy drives) in 1985 and have been building them for myself, relatives and friends ever since.
The only way I had heard of Mike was through the original posting of a couple of months
asking that we spare a thought for Hopalong and his family,
There are obviously more than a few of the members here who got to know Mike in one way or another
and he obviously made an indelible impression.
The pain for you likely is raw at this moment but as time goes by
you will remember all the good times and you will be thankful for the man
who left his impression.
The words that follow I penned after a life long friend opened her
final door and left me with her indelible impression.
For all his friends, but most of all for his lifetime friend and family ...
~ The journey that we take ~
Time is what we have,
for although a lifetime is but a twinkling in the universe,
it is what we leave with others,
a lifetime's indelible impression on each other's souls.
The journey that we take,
is like no other we experience,
for it is continuous,
and does not end with self.
Friendships form as travelers,
companions on the trek,
an offered helping hand,
encouragement to lend.
The twists and turns of life,
unravel as we go,
where is it that they end,
til there, we never know.
On bonds of trust are built,
the highways of our lives,
that map the roads we travel,
the topography through which we grow.
As gentle breezes blow,
and whisper to the soul,
the answer to a prayer,
perhaps will let us grow.
So friends do not despair,
just breath in the fresh air,
for each and every day,
just remember there are those who care.

Very touching John and Greg. I find myself coming back to this thread, reading all the condolences and crying again. Mike is missed and leaves a void here in the forum, it was a big part of his daily life.
As nice as Mike was, he once messaged me about some noob he was trying to help and asked me to step in. The OP had riled him a "little" and he said he'd get banned if he posted his true thoughts. I loved working with Mike.

It is with great sadness to me, to hear of Mike's passing, and tears of remembrance have occurred every time I think of it.
Although I was not a close friend of his, I remember back when he joined 7Forums and in conversation with him, I knew him to be an honorable man, and as Gary has said; "he is missed and leaves a void".
In astronomical terms there will be a "Super Moon" this Sunday June 23 at 7:32 a.m. EDT. Because of the time frame it will not be visible to me at that precise moment, but in the moments before, and the days ahead when I view this "super moon", I will think of "Hoppy and Topper" and know they are in a better place and awaiting the loves of their lives.
The Cowboy's Prayer
This is the poem used By Roy Rogers at all his riders club meetings.
Oh Lord, I reckon I'm not much just by myself.
I fail to do a lot of things I ought to do.
But Lord, when trails are steep and passes high,
Help me ride it straight the whole way through.
And when in the falling dusk I get the final call,
I do not care how many flowers they send --
Above all else the happiest trail would be
For You to say to me, "Let's ride, My friend."
Amen
