In windows 7 , IE 11 cannot-enable-or-disable-any add-ons

From other helpers I got the message, that there were serious problems with the system files, from the sfclog, they suggested a recovery /factory reset.

He even mentioned that my pc could have been hacked by ..a fileinjectorvirus

What do you think ?

Sure, go for it. It seems you've not tried suggestions here.

Some of the suggestions here , I already tried, and I posted the sfc logfile here , every help I can get is welcome! The more people think about it and help, the more we can help othes with the same problem.


So I am very interseted to learn what you see in the logfile..??

Because if its the recovery that is the only thing to do..i have to do that..because

The reserve DLL's who are situated in the SFXsection are also bad... right ?

From what I can see , the SFC is mostly flagging the GPEDIT, which makes sense since it has no files to repair that as Home Premium does not come with it. A Guy

There is a total of at least 4 non-repairable files.

Tom or Noel can fix them, but I don't know if it would take care of the add-on problem.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys, and that you looked at it.!

Maybe it is beter, tot do a full recovery, with all the hassle of updating etc...but then at least I would know that there are not any traces left behind.

What do you guys think, after viweing all the evidence.. ?

Yeah, I think a full clean install without any factory bloat would be the best thing to do. I hope you have a good paid for security suite, more the MS Essentials.

Thanks Thrash and Britton !

On my Asus laptop, I have a recovery Partition. So when pressing F9, I can do a totall install, with also two partitions, OS and Data. Like I used to do.

Do you guys have any tips, for installing software. I had Norton Antivirus, Malware Bytes, Ccleaner.
Programms that are usefull ?

You're welcome. I realized you have a recovery partition and I recommended a clean install to get rid of all the added stuff ASUS may include, which will be restored if you go with their recovery. If yo have only one physical there's no advantage to have a separate data partition.

I use Norton Internet Security, Malware Bytes (MBAM) free, Super AntiSpyWare (SAS)free, and CCleaner too. Norton runs on a daily schedule plus I run weekly scans with MBAM and SAS. I run CCleaner a few times per day.
