Hi.I recently upgraded to a virgin super hub 50 meg.Works brill on all computers in house via its built in router but my daughters computer ....no signal.Used a usb amplifier on it .windows reported device worked properly but not comunicating with router atall.Anybody help.she is also running win 7 64 bit and its a new machine.this is a wierd one.I was thinking of running a cable router to pc as this is the only thing that seems to work.regards andy r.
it did work untill i loaded the drivers for the amplifier.It had very little signal with a dongle attached but it was there.what do you think has happened ?
This is going to seem kind of ridiculous to you (most likely)
but here is what I'm going to suggest for your signal strength issue. DIY WIFI Antenna Reception Booster
I use this personally and it works.
It also has the added benefit of directing the signal instead of sending out a shotgun blast.
For added effect you can paste tinfoil to it.
