Incompatibility of mIRC and Windows 7

I routinely used mIRC in previous versions of Windows without problem. Having installed Windows 7, my copy of mIRC (registered) halts after 1-2 minutes of use (the dialog box states "mIRC has stopped working" and attempts to find a solution to the problem. In trouble shooting, Windows 7 states that mIRC is incompatible, even when I indicate it ran successfully in Windows XP, etc.

Any suggestions?

Are you using the latest version? Cause mIRC works fine on Windows 7, assuming you are using the latest version, which just came out.

Or it could be something else entirely cause i stability.
