New to the forum, just purchased a cpu with windows 7. Wanted to increase virtual memory but didn't know how much I should increase it by. I have 8GB of ram and all that is allocated in virtual memory is 8183MB. I can increase it to 880,474MB didn't know how much I should increase it to? Any suggestions?

Thx

.
If you leave virtual memory set to "system managed" then Windows will allocate space as needed. If you want to create a "custom" size then look at the recommended size and enter a slightly larger number in the "initial size" box. Then double that amount in the "maximum size" box. There isn't much benefit to adjusting these settings though.
