You will not be able to get past the Into The Deep. The game will crash in the very next mission called End of The Line . It happens towards the end when everyone runs out onto the roof for extraction. This will happen if you are using Nvidia's Newest Driver or any Nvidia driver past 344.11. I play the game through Veteran up to that mission, then switched back to 344.11 to complete it, then went back to driver 344.75. The mission Sin City seemed to work but I had no ability to shoot. I find this very interesting seeing that this is a First Person Shooter. Nvidia is and has been aware of this problem but either does not care or just has lousy customer support. The Following is what I got in response:

Nvidia is not responsible for how the driver works for anyone,
here is Nvidia disclaimer for downloads :
Legal Information and Terms of Service | NVIDIA

here is disclaimer for drivers that upon download you agree too :
Download NVIDIA, GeForce, Quadro, and Tesla Drivers

If you are using an AMD Card you have no worries. This GTX 750 Ti card will be the last VC I purchase with the Nvidia green label.

I'm not going to jump on the nvidia bandwagon and try to defend them, but they are not the only ones to blame, nvidia have to think about future titles and cannot always have support for past games, considering there is no support for past titles on consoles, this is merely a minor issue which nvidia don't feel the need to fix, it's the responsibility of the publisher/developer of the title to ensure the title works as advertised, in this case, Infinity Ward and Activision (it's much easier to release a patch for a game than it is to release a whole new set of drivers for your GPU).

I have Call of Duty 2 and it runs flawlessly as do every other COD game since. This problem is not confined to my GPU, it is effecting all of them.

We can't blame Nvidia for a shody and unoptimized console port to PC games (Ghost included). A friend can still play the Original Far Cry game with the new set of drivers from Nvidia and that game is from 2002 but is having issues with FC4 that was launched a couple of weeks ago.

Blame the Publisher more than the Devs and throw a little bit of that blame on ourselves for supporting Companies that sell half licked games like these ones. :(

Strange, that game isn't old enough yet. Even CoD 1 runs smoothly on latest drivers. I'm currently starting with Modern Warfare 1 then to 3. Modern Warfare has the coolest Story Line of all Call of Duty Series.

Now that I recall, I do remember having an issue/bug/glitch in one area that I had to lower from Hardcore to Normal to pass it and then I had to go back to Hardcore. Ghost is one of those games that you only play once, twice if you are really really bored and there is no other game to play at the time (which is exactly what happened LOL). After that, there is no re playability for me personally.

I have and have played almost every Call Of Duty game there is, including Ghosts. Every game has run great for me on any driver I have tried, with the exception of 1 part of 1 scene in Ghosts. The problem is not the Nvidia drivers, it is the poor port from the console by the developers. Nvidia is not responsible for the controls working or not. The developers of the game are.
