i have read about this term "SUPERFETCH" can someone elaborate it ?? :geek:
how does it impact performance in win7 how to enable and disable it..??
Ram v/s Superfetch idea ?

in simple terms, windows 7 loads unused ram with files that you use often, so programs launch quicker.

it uses ram sure, but what's the point of having ram sitting there empty? if the ram is needed by other apps, then the superfetch stuff gets deleted, meaning that no ram gets wasted.

it should be enabled by default, but you can check by typing services.msc into your startmenu searchbox - scroll down the list looking for superfetch - it should say that it's started and the startup type is 'automatic'.

YEAH...your rite...cuz thats the reason why all the games load sooo quickly the second time they are loaded.;)
