I'd personally go with the msi GTX 560 Ti but that's just my opinion.

Both cards look good and technically the GTX 570 is better but I haven't had much experience with INNO3D. I've heard good things about their cards but they aren't a 'high end' brand which makes me unsure about their quality. But please, correct me if I'm wrong.

I have an msi card and I love it. The one you chose out looks good and is a very powerful card. You should also get a decent result if you want to overclock. The only thing I could say against msi is their service. I've never had any problems with it but if you do a bit of searching on the internet, msi will not stand up to other brands such as EVGA or ASUS when it comes to warranties and service.

I don't know much about the INNO3D brand i.e. what's their quality or after-sales-service but the extra VRAM on 570 will prove useful if you plan to play at higher resolutions otherwise go with 560ti.

And your quad core will you may experience a slight bottleneck especially in more cpu hungry games and low resolution. However at greater resolutions, you won't experience much of a bottleneck as more work would be shared with the gpu.
But eventhough, upgrading from 8600gt to any of these will surely give a boost and much smoother gameplay.

If you go to GeForce.com and type in the card it will give you full specs and requirements. As for reviews I've learned that a mix of newegg consumer reviews and YouTube install/review really helps with deciding a good graphics card.

Cards are (yet) backward compatible i.e. a pci 3.0 card would work just fine in a pci 2.0 slot only with the limitation that it'll run at half the speed it'd in its native slot.
FYI, gtx 570 is a pci 2.0 card.

should i go for the msi or the asus ?

It all boils down to your personal preference. Both are good brands. I myself have an asus 560ti and running fine w/ no problems. But you should consider the availability of their respective service centres too incase something goes wrong which i really hope to not as you'll seriously not like to wander off files just to get to their service centre...

I'm surprised how many people are saying the 560. For me it would definately be the 570, definately more card for the money, and will give you more longevity in what it will be able to run in the future.

I'd personally go with the GTX 570, INNO3D has been around for a long time. They seem to be pretty reliable on there warranties. Just check the warranty on the product you are wanting mainly because accidents can happen and the product could fail over time. It is good to know that you have a warranty.
