Install drivers?

Hi
I just installed a Mediasonic HD6-SU3-BK Smart Drive SuperSpeed 3.5IN SATA HDD External Enclosure in my new Asus Z87 Sabertooth MB and I can not get this drive to run at 3.o speeds.
I downloaded the Asmedia driver and still it will not run at 3.0 speeds.
What can I do?

I am only getting the speeds that I was getting on a 2.0 port 35m per sec.

Just got it going, speed is very good, allows the hard drive to run at its rated speed.
Couldn't ask for more.

Your speed will be limited by the drive you put into the enclosure. If it's a mechanical (spinner) hard drive you'll be lucky to get 150 mega bytes per second. If its a 5400 RPM laptop drive it will be even slower than that. The interface is capable of 300 mega bytes per second but that doesn't mean you'll actually get that speed.

Ididn't think the Z87 Sabertooth had an ASMedia controller at mid board.
