install haning after Starting windows

Ok so i made the ISO out of the student up grade im tryin to do a clean install. from xp 32 bit to 7 32bit

It gets to the point where it says "Starting Windows" For a while then it goes to an image with a back ground and a curser but nothing else.. did i do something wrong?

I did this already, it boots fine, just after teh boot and the load it stays at this nice windows 7 back ground screen with a little bird and some lights.. and a curser?

i think i found the solution going to see if it works.. had to do with ram

Try removing not necessary peripherals, like extra usb harddrive and second monitor and try installing again.

how long does it usally take for the splash screen to load? should i just wait a while?

tryin a different dvd drive today the last one i had was running at like 1x might have been the problem

fixed and fixed new drive and removal of ram did the trick
