Install / Hardware issue? (not sure where to post)

Hey all,

Having an issue with a friends Asus K55N laptop

The Laptop had blue screened and errors starting, long story short.. they handed me a Windows 7 CD and asked me to reformat Laptop to W7 instead of the current W8 that was on it..

Had to go to Bios -> CSM -> Security -> Secure Boot = Disabled it, for it to recognize CD

The Issue:

After Initial [..........] 109% loading screen. I get a black screen w/ Cursor, unsure if it has to do with the Bios, or hardware on the Laptop..

EDIT** Cannot do anything like "boot to safe mode" HDD HAS NO OS ON IT, COMPLETELY REFORMATTED

If ANYONE has a suggestion on alternate method to install, or get past my BLACK wall.. please let me know

On Asus site it says that the K55N comes with Win 7, not Win 8. Do the laptop has a COA stiker? (look under the battery).

Please explain "After Initial [..........] 109% loading screen". Where you able to boot from the installation disk?
Did you do a RAM test?
