Yes you can use the key.
It would be easier if you were to burn your ISO to a disk first. Amd make sure you are insalling the correct version at the start.
But you don't need to edit any text files or anything like that.
I was just digging around the Win7 setup files and it looks like Joel is correct. It seems as if the install disk includes everything you need for any version except enterprise.Yes you can use the key.

Glad you posted. The question here is not whether a particular version can be installed. The question is - Will an OEM key work on a TechNet install disk?I would have a look and see if you have a file called ei.cfg in the "sources" folder - if you do, delete it.
Then you can install any Edititon from that .iso
You should be able to do that easily if you have a paid iso handler , like MagicIso, UtraIso, or PowerIso.
Otherwise, you will need to extract the contents of the. iso to the HD , delete ei.cfg, and remake an .iso.
