Install two OS

Hi my father brought me an Assus Eee pc and it has Ubuntu installed on it i want to install win xp but i do not want to remove ubuntu is it that possible and how??

If an eeepc is the same as any other with regard to this sort of thing, then yes. What you need to do is...

1. If you don't have a ubuntu install disk, get one.

2. In Ubuntu create a new partition. The size that you want for XP, and format it to ntfs (or fat32 as you can change this when you install xp). You can use qparted for partitioning as it's the easiest imo.

2. Install xp - it will only concern itself with the fat32 (or ntfs) that you partitioned in ubuntu so you're install will be safe.

3. Once this is all set up and you have xp working, you will notice that you can't get to ubuntu. Don't panic! What you need to do is insert the ubuntu cd and repair the grub - this link may help: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=224351

Again, I'm not sure if the eeepc is the same as laptops/desktops/etc so I would check on that first.
