Solved Install windows 7 after windows 10 already installed

would like to install windows 7, windows 10 already installed (duel boot)
will be using different HD to do so
if so whats the best way to go about it.
would like to avoid reinstalling 10.

Hi and welcome to SevenForums,
First you'd have to disable fast start in win-10
Fast Startup - Turn On or Off in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums

I would usually disconnect win-10 and then install the new disk and install win-7 as normally would to insure win-7 had it's own boot loader....

But I use this as a way to dual boot
I simply swap out the ssd's

then install 7

Hi,
That's the way most people would do it
Then on startup just use the boot menu to choose the os you want to use F8/ Delete... which ever your bios flash screen shows

Fast start on win-10 will prevent the bios flash screen from showing because 10 sets boot timing to 0 seconds.

You can also disable fast startup in your bios too for good measure.
