Hi

At this time I'm usin windows 7 RC build 7201. And i wanted to know if I do a clean install of it again, if i can aktivate it with the old rc key.

My better question is, is it possible to upgrade my 7201 build do 7600? Or, will my key work, wich I aktivated 7201 when I use it to aktivate 7600?

greetings

7600 is rtm. We will not ask where you got it..

RC key is not valid with RTM. Do a clean install. Rearm every 30 days and/or buy the software.

All of my systems still run fastest on XP 32-bit for the most part. Win7 is fun to play with, but I still prefer XP for raw speed, security, and functionality.
Ok, then forget about the RTM :) And now, my fist question, can I just reinstall my 7201 RC copy and use the key what i aktivated it?

I think it will probably activate until next year when the RC stops working.

Nope. Only build 7100 is RC. All other builds are just leaked builds which Microsoft didn't make for public download. Call it whatever you want, it doesn't really matter so long as you can use it.

Another week and another Windows 7 leak. Last week 7137 leaked and this week it is 7201's turn.

This time around the build tag is 7201.0.winmain_win7ids_sp.090601-2255 meaning this build is only 3 days old. As ever the build is available at the usual places.

Microsoft Netherlands employee Ruud de Jonge twittered "Installing Win 7 build 7201" a few moments ago to confirm the builds authenticity.

Microsoft revealed yesterday that it will sign off final RTM code in mid to late July with a general availability and release date of 22nd October for Windows 7.
