I have downloaded a Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit iso file which I want to install into a computer I just purchased yesterday. Can anyone please tell me how to burn that iso into a DVD (i mean if there is any restriction on the speed at which I should burn it) to install it and the other complications that may arise???

Thanks in advance...................:D

Use whichever burner program you have, if you dont have one use IMGBurn.

The Official ImgBurn Website

Burn at the lowest speed possible.

Remember to boot from the dvd to install.

What is the source of this iso? Either the iso is bad/unbootable or the burn is bad. Download a trial version of Ultraiso and open thii iso in that. Does it say bootable at the bottom? If yes, burn using img at the lowest possible speed.

I hope you have a genuine license for win7 and are not trying to download one of those modded/preactivated iso's? If you are, you'll get no further help here.

OK, it looks bootable. Remember you need to boot from the dvd to start the installer.

Just a question....... I remember terrible screeching and tearing noises when I tried to boot up... Does that have anything to do with the failed install ?????

It maybe that the drive is having trouble reading the disk- that could be caused by bad media, bad data or a bad drive. What you can do is to extract the contents of the iso (use the trial version of winrar), then dump all those onto a bootable usb stick, install windows from there.

That's really a nice method but I just noticed that my computer only allows booting from a CD/DVD drive or a network drive, that's why I need to install from the DVD only.....

Listen, if that image is bootable, use a new disk (dont use some old, scratched rewritable) and burn with IMGburn at lowest possible speed.

Download a good ISO from the Microsoft link, where you bought the licence key from.
Delete the torrent ISO.

you could also try PowerISO. It costs money for all features, but I think burning an image is free.
