Dear Friends,

I have a desktop computer with win7-ultimate 64-bit, with 2 partition (that i have created during installation of win7, C: for windows 7 and D:\ is empty!)

When i finished the installation of win7, i rebooted system , while i have inserted winxp in CD drive..then, i follow the screen messages..... but , when i ask to install a new OS, exactly before to determine on which partition, i have the message that it can not find any hard drive!

Do you have any idea, what's going wrong?

Hello,

Thanks for reply.

Now, i have another weird problem!!! this morning, i had to reinstalled windows7, 3 times on my system.
and for the fourth time, it does not accept the product key : The product key is invalid!

Do you think there is some limited number for installation of win7 on the same computer under the same name?

Thanks in advance!

Make sure you're typing the Product Key correctly. If it still won't activate you may need to call MS to activate it. There should be a phone number there for activation.

If XP CD cannot see your SATA HD it is because it needs the SATA drivers inserted at the F6 prompt during the file-loading stage after bootup. But you'll need a floppy to do this. Otherwise you have to slipstream the SATA controller driver (from chipset) into the XP CD using this method: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/72185-sata-drivers-slipstream-into-windows-xp-cd.html?ltr=S

In the future, post the problem here before reinstalling as we can help you avoid it.
