I went through the student upgrade program. I chose the professional version. I somehow downloaded the Ultimate version. I didn't check it right away because I hadn't finished the computer that I planned to install it on. Well my problem is now I have a Ultimate download and a Professional key. My redownload period has expired. So now I need to know if there is a way to download a 32bit Professional copy so that my key will work with it.

Any help is appreciated.

These big companies know that good will is very important. I would call up the company that you bought it from, and if you explain your position as politely and as clearly as you did here, I feel they will let you download the correct version. They could play hard ball and charge you a token amount, but that is the cost of your mistake. A little advice from an old timer, give them a call next week, it is Holiday time, they will be in a party mood, do not want trouble and I think you will be given a nice Christmas Gift.

The installers are all the same, with only other versions hidden due to an ei.cfg file in Sources folder.

So you can extract the files, delete that file, recompile using vLite into an ISO, burn back to DVD and have an all-versions installer in under an hour.

Then select your licensed version and install.
