I have burned the image for both the 64 bit and 32 bit versions of 7 and ran into the same problem in each. After booting from the dvd and once windows has started and goes to the background screen, there is a loading cursor for a few seconds and then nothing for at least a minute. I saw no activity so i shut down and tried different things, even unplugging my card reader and trying a different keyboard thinking it was either that or the logitech g15. Guess not.... :(

my specs...

AMD Phenom II X4 955 3.2 Ghz Processor
Nvidia GTS 250 Superclocked Graphics Card
8 GB 1600 Mhz DDR3 RAM (of course XP Pro 32 bit can only recognize 4 GB of that... :()
Asus AM3 Deluxe motherboard

730W PSU
750 GB HDD (Windows XP)
1 TB (Nothing as of yet, i made a 200 GB partition on it for Windows 7)

Hi Meine,

A minute isn't very long. Might try giving it a few minutes to see if it gets going again. The only other thing I can think of right off is that sometimes lots of RAM will cause a problem with installations. If patience doesn't work, might try taking out all but one stick of ram. It can be replaced after the installation is complete.

Hope this helps.

Gary
