installation query

hey guys...i knw it may sound a bit wierd coz i really dont have much experience installing windows before so what i wanna knw is do i have to do a back up of my entire hard drive befor installation or does only the c:\ drive get deleted and not the other partitions( d:\ and e:\ in my case) ?

If you install on C only c should get deleted. Make a complete copy of the C drive and you should be ok.
