Hi, I installed windows 7 on a 60gb OCZ SSD for a faster boot, and it's been wonderful until I realized that I only had 5gb of space left on it, I have a 1tb hard drive and a 500gb one and i'd like to set the default of everything to install on either one of those, is there a way to do that? By this i mean libraries, temp files, download defaults, install defaults, stuff like that. Thank you. I've already changed a few libraries and my temp, but stuff still manages to find a way on the SSD, like I just purchased Photoshop CS6 and I told it to install onto the 500gb hard drive but then i realized i had less space on my C:// drive and then when I looked around I realized it dumped a bunch of crap.

Hi -- With this tutorial, you can move folders to any location and they will still behave as before.
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/18629-user-folders-change-default-location.html Most people here put Win 7 and programs on the SSD. Put your documents, pictures, music, etc on the HDD.

There are complications with moving the User shell folders so I would instead copy each one to the data HD, then rightclick on it to add to the related Library - Include a Folder - Windows 7 Forums. There will already be a Library for each one except Downloads which you can create from the rightclick Context menu.

Once the folders are all showing in each library from their data HD location you can delete the content of each in the C drive User folder, drag anything that lands there to the data HD as you go.

If the SSD fills up again, I'd uninstall and reinstall lesser--used programs to the Data HD to make more space.

However I would not move the paging file to the HD as it should benefit from the faster speeds. I also would not turn off the modern Hibernation feature just to save space.
