Installed without key

I downloaded the .iso file and then used winrar to decompress files on drive d.
Did the setup from there. DId new install. When it asked for the key by mistake I hit the enter key and WINDOWS 7 still installed.

Am I missing something....

Nope if it is the most current file from M$ there are no keys for them. Just re-arm at the end of 30 days and you are good to go

Hi hjr and welcome to the forums.
As said by zigzag, everything is perfect. just install the OS and the drivers and you are good to go. Do Ask for anything that you find it difficult.

I never said go download a "crack" or pirate it .. I simplely suggested searching google for a way to activate with out a key and Btw the Rearm thing is technically in voilateion of the EULA

Back to the thread topic ... Windows will install and function for a 30 day period without entering the key. 7RC does this as well with the stringent rules set aside because it is Beta/RC.

In my opinion, you should want to activate your 7RC. You will be asked for the key when you do, so you can enter it then. Remember, activated copies of the RC qualify as an upgrade path to the retail 7 upgrade (when it ships in Oct). That means you don't have to purchase the $199 full version (of 7 Home Premium, at this writing) or retire a copy of XP or Vista to apply the upgrade.

Activating 7RC is like: "Done already?"
