Solved Installing 2 OSes in one hard drive

Hi again.

So, I was wondering. Can you install 2 or more OSes in one hard drive? I currently have Windows 7, but I need to install an another Windows OS for work and research purposes.

If so, do I have to do anything else before proceeding? Thanks

Yep.

It's called "dual booting".

It's a bit complicated. Some would tell you to put the second OS on an entirely separate hard drive.

I would be that 1 that would recommend putting the os on a separate hdd or ssd
I use this it's an excellent way to swap them out after shutting down the other os,

This is a quality device don't let the price fool you I have 2 one on each machine
I can't imagine dual booting any other way
No os fighting to be default = especially win-10 or 8.1

Thanks for the info! It might be a bit more complicated though, since I'm using a laptop. :huh:
