Installing 64-bit

I recently bought windows 7, upgrading from vista. At first i installed the 32-bit software as i had not discovered the 64-bit disc yet. When i try to run the 64-bit disc i get this message: http://i48.tinypic.com/214qnt2.png
I now know i need to completely reinstall the OS by booting from the 64-bit disc but i do not know how to do this. can anyone explain what i need to do?

Well, first of all... You need to change the boot order in Bios to boot off of the Windows install disc.

Secondly.. It would help us alot if we new what PC you were using. Different manufacturers have different methods booting into bios. Please fill out some of your specs.

When your computer boots Hold down the Del key when you see the bios screen appear. It should say Phoenix technologies or maybe even an acer logo.

When you enter the Bios look for a menu that says "Boot order". Change the order so your DVD drive is set first in the list. Reboot and you should boot into the Windows disc.

The tutorial that Bill posted a minute ago is also very useful if you get stuck or confused along the way.

Ok so i held del when i rebooted my computer and got a blue screen with many options. i guessed it was 'advanced BIOS features' in there was a hard disk drive priority, optical disk drive priority and removeable device priority. when i press enter on the optical disk drive priority another screen comes up with 2 options, one being diable and another is alot of letters i dont understand. so i press save and reboot but nothing happens. when i go back into the advanced BIOS features the option i tryed to enable before if still turned off. What should i do now?

It also says 1st boot device - Raid: Dsk04 st3750630as. when i click on this i also get this option Raid: Dsk02 HL-DT-ST DvdRam GH15. Hopefully this may help.

If your question was concerning setting the correct boot order... Yes. The device I told you to set as first in order is your DVD Drive.
