Installing an older printer

Need help Installing an HP Laserjet 2200D with a Dell XPS9000 with no parallel port. An installer showed me where a card could in inserted into the printer to facilitate a USB connection. He didn't know its numner or where it came from. He just said he had done it. I'm desperate to print and hate to lose my "tank" printer. Help is much appreciated.:huh:

Another option is a <url=JetDirect>http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JetDirect</url> box, that would put the printer on the network.

Thank you! I have ordered the cable suggested by theog. The Dell installer who was part time said it would not work. I hope we prove him wrong. I'll let you know. MIckey
