my pc came with win 7 preinstalled with lots of commercial junkware (games, norton etc). every time i need to reinstall win 7 i have to spend hours getting rid of the junk and cleaning my pc. how can i get rid of this junk once and for all, and keep a clean version for future reinstall?

I'd use this:

There's also a tutorial on a clean install with a flash drive (it's what I do when I need to reinstall Win7)

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/2432-usb-windows-7-installation-key-drive-create.html

You'll need about 4GB on the flash drive if you want to do that. You can always get the files from the download page and burn them to a disc instead, too.

Both of those will guarantee no more preinstalled junk that you're having trouble with.
