Installing data to a separate physical drive

When the final version of Windows 7 is released I am going to install the Windows 7 operating system to my C drive and put my data on a separate physical D drive. I am going to put the temporary Internet files and the Windows temporary files folders on that D drive. What user folders would anyone suggests go to the D drive and what other data and/or folders would anyone suggest to go on the D drive?

I create folders on my data drive for Documents, Downloads, Multimedia (sub folders for Music, Movies, Pictures), etc. I've never used the system provided "my" folders, because I never saw a reason to.

I use SyncToy to backup my favorites, e-mail, game saves, etc to a Backup folder on my D drive. The D drive, is then backed up in full to an external drive.

I see no reason to save your temp files to another drive.
As DeaconForest said .. I'd save all you personal Data .. (music, pictures, documents..etc..)
and anything that might be in "My Docs" or Data on your desktop.

You may also want to save (backup) your favorites, address book, any Email you want to save, and cookies if they have any saved passwords.

The reason I was saving my temp and internet temporary files and other data to a data drive is because I'm using a SSD drive and there would be less writing and rewriting to the SSD drive.

I write as many temp files as possible (read here: every one I know does or will exist) to a secondary RAID0 volume (not the Data volume). While the performance gain may be minimal in most circumstances, it can be profound during the appropriate circumstance.

Even with the advent of SSD, disk I/O remains the slowest function on the system, keyboard input not included.
