Hello,
I've bought an Acer Aspire One and it has Meego on it, so I want to install Win 7. Considering it hasn't got CD/DVD, I copied the Win7 installation files on a USB flash, set up BIOS to boot from USB, but when it tries to boot it from USB it says "invalid or damaged Bootable partition".
What do I do? I haven't got the slightest idea. Tried to Google it out but didn't manage to find the answer.
I suppose all I have to do is make a good bootable USB, but how?

Thanks in advance!

I've tried just draging them onto the USB and also tried "installing" them via ISO to USB... Not working.

Did you use the specific guide I gave you?

And also if that doesn't work, you could try MagicISO.

I believe the USB stick must be formatted as NTFS (with the default cluster size of 4096 bytes) first, and the partition on the stick marked as active. Then yes, just copying the contents of the Windows DVD/iso to the stick will work as all the boot files are there.
If you never formatted the stick before, you might be writing all the files to a FAT32 partition which will of course fail to boot.

Faceofjoe421's advice worked, I had some problems with my antivirus reporting autorun file as a virus but still managed to do it all. Thanks for your help, I was on the verge of testing its boomerang capabilities (the computers, of course). :-D

Thanks again all!
