Dear experts,

I have a Foxconn Blood Rage GTI Mainboard.
I have a Blood Rage mainboard installation disk.
I have a Windows 7 (64bit) installation disk.
My current OS is Windows XP Professional
It is a wonderful system, sweet, smooth and fast.
But I wish to upgrade to Windows 7 (64bit) and catch up with the World.

So, I insert the Windows 7 installation disk and reboot.
The installation software takes a long, leisurely look at my machine and then tells me to insert the disk with the drivers on it. So I insert the Blood Rage installation disk. The installation software searches the disk and declares that it cannot find any drivers. I lead it to the folder named 'driver' on the Blood Rage installation disk. The installation software still cannot find a single driver.

Has anyone else had this problem? What am I to do? Why can't I install Windows 7 and then download the drivers as Windows XP Pro does? Can anyone help?

Thank you for your kind attention :-)

:)

My guess would be that it is looking for the HDD driver without which it cannot install W7. The other drivers will be installed automaticaly. Suggest you find the HDD driver for your disk and load it either on a CD or a USB stick so that you can use it during the installation.
It may also be useful to run the W7 Upgrade Advisor before you start the installation: Upgrade Advisor Tests Your PC's Windows-7 Readiness | BNET
