I'm trying to install Windows 7 on a Sony Vaio VGN-AR570 that has two 160GB RAID controlled hard drives.

I've performed this installation before without issue, but I must have deleted the RAID driver this time.

When I select a partition to install to, the maximum space I can allocate to the Windows 7 OS is about 150GB (the free space on a single HD).

I would like to allocate 280 GB to a Windows 7 OS (RAID controlled), leaving 40 GB for another dual-booted OS.

Please advise.

you can do it in that way: Create the 150GB partition, and create another partition on the second hard drive, and after you finish installing windows you will find the other created partition and format it, in this way it will be usable only in windows 7 ;)
