Installing Windows 7 from bootable 2.0 USB by 3.0 USB port

Hi, I'm attemping to do a clean install on my ASUS UX32VD-DB71. The problem is that there is no disc drive on the laptop, and all 3 of the USB ports are 3.0. But as you guys may know, a USB 3.0 port isn't loaded until Windows has booted, and Windows 7 Installation doesn't have native support for USB 3.0. Still, the bootable 2.0 USB was able to boot, but after a few clicks "Next", a window appeared saying "A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now." It seems like the installer doesn't detect my 2.0 USB.

I recently did some research, many people issued the same problem. One solution I found is putting the USB 3.0 driver into the installation stick. Here is the quote:

I did follow the instruction, but nothing changed. Maybe I misundertood the instruction somewhere. The part "Then you just point Windows 7 to that driver folder when it asks you to" is confusing to me. The flash stick won't be showed up, so how can I "point" the installer "to that driver" ?

Any help please! I have an external DVD drive, but I also want to learn how to solve the problem. And I use official installation from Digital River.

Even though all the ports are USB 3.0, have you tried booting from each port?
I only ask because, some people say that they've had success with a different port.

yeah I did, none of them work, but they work fine in normal Windows though (with all the drivers loaded)

Since USB 3.0 is the problem, have you tried an SD card?
Using the Microsoft link and perhaps borrow a friend's card, if you don't have one, it may work.
I've tried the Microsoft program on one of my SD cards, and the burn was successful.
I didn't have success with it on my desktop experimentation, but you may, with your notebook.

I think the port 3.0 is the problem, not the USB, because I'm using a 2.0 USB, and I tried booting the USB on another laptop using a 2.0 port, everything was fine. I'll try the SD cards and let you know later

Define 'after a few clicks "Next"'.

If you get to the part where you can select the drive to install to, it has a link at the bottom left specifying 'load driver' or some such.
Click on that, then go to the USB stick drive folder location where you copied the driver files to and try to load it.

The error means the installer is bad. Confirm the ISO and write it to stick using Universal USB Installer
with Win7 in dropdown menu.

I got no problem burning the ISO file to the SD card (SanDisk SHDC 4GB), but after I chose to boot from the SD Card, it said "SD Card Read Error. Ctrl + Alt + Del to restart."

Actually, after I click "Next", then click "Install", then it asks me to locate the drive. I know about the "Load driver", but the problem is that I replace my HDD by a SDD, so there is no use putting the USB 3 driver on the HDD, and the USB installation stick is not showing up, so "go to the USB stick drive folder location where you copied the driver files to and try to load it" is not an option.

I use the ISO from Digital River, and make the bootable usb by the official software from Microsoft website.

Then write the ISO to stick again, trying another tool. The error is almost always bad installer.

Can you try DVD?
