HI all, i have registered on this site now, but im visitor from January 2009.
I have various problems on windows 7 but, i like this for games. Same performance of XP x64 on DX9 and more speed than Vista on DX10.
But, i have much problems:
- After instaled Klite Codec Pack is impossible to use ConvertXtoDVD to use avi filme and separeted .sub file to create DVD, and , all DVDs is not playable on Windows Media 12 or Media Center. I have instaled Klite last version and FULL INSTALATION. Anybody have an solution ?
- I have found an solution for media encoding to convert to DVD, i have instaled XP 32 on Virtual PC, all works fine, but, the encoding is very SLOW, because this is an Virtual Machine.
- IF is impossible to install codecks packs, like Klite or Seven Codec Pack is posible to install Seven, drivers and shutdown Microsoft Defender and leave this computer only for games ? Installing only DX last version, Microsoft 2005 and 2008 C++ Redist and overclock tool like EVGA.

My idea, Seven for games, without any programs on background, and XP on VM for antivirus, Office and others programas.
But im convert much movied, im download avi and SUB convert on XonvertXtoDVD and play on My TV.
I have experienced problems on Vista like this, instaled Klite on FULL options and i need download PowerDVD to play DVD, and reinstaled Windows Media 11 codecs ( from original archive ) to play Mpeg on Media 11.

Any idea ? Solutions ? Please...

My english is horrible, i know, because im Brazillian and have much yers i have stoped stude of english.

Thx.
Bye

OK, but, without the pack the Media Player or Media Center can handle the AVI filme with SUB ? i think no.
The ConvertXtoDVD need codecs like rmvb lite to convert rmvb to DVD, is not needed an codec pack to convert AVI with SUB to DVD ?
If no, and Media Player and Media Center play games with sub the codecs pack is the fux software realesed for Win7.

Thx for help man, but, have other problem, unistall an codec pack crash the windows and they dont play NOTHIG any more, the solution ? Format C:.

Bye

I know this codec pack, i have say that on my thread, Seven Codec Pack.
But, with this pack, the ConvertXtoDVD dont leave me to use subs on the convertion to DVD, you have experienced this problem ?
And, on Media Center and Media Player 12 is impossible to play DVD convert and originals, i need to install PowerDVd to play media.

its only my problem ?

Is realy necessary an codec pack to play AVI movies and use convertXtoDVD to ADD SUBS on movie ?

I only want see the movie on PC without SUB, and play this on computer with subs integrated , after DVD convertion..
Bye.

here are very good codecs i use Shark007.net - Windows 7 Codecs

You have played with this PACK an AVI movie with subs on Media Player 12 ?
Have tried to convert this to DVD ?
You have any problems to play DVD or MPEG movies after instaled this PACK ?

THx.
Daniel.
I agree

But you could also try Shark007.net - Windows 7 Codecs as it's the best & most stable with Windows 7

LOL mariojas beat me to it :p

I have no problems, i've used ConvertX & WinAvi & have played on WMP12 and MCE with no issues.

Do you have a lot of programs installed yet? You might want to clean install Se7en and try the programs without any codec pack installed. It could be that a setting somewhere is not correct but there are so many it would take forever to find which 1 might be causing the issue.

Just a thought

Im thinking that it might possibly be klite that has messed up the codecs, either by changing something or overwriting something. Thats one thing that the author of the windows 7 codec pack states is that his pack doesnt change any of the existing codecs included by MS.

You know any codec separated to include SUB on movies ? i have separated codec for quicktime and real media movies. i whant an codec they leave me to add subs on any movie.
i see an screenshot of win7codec pack and they have mpeg2, Win 7 already have this codec ??? after instaled the klite or win7codec im have this issues:
klite and win7codec dont play DVD or mpeg anymore, i need reinstall the media player 11 codecs ( extracted from the original installer ).
Klite leave me to add subs, win7codec no.
Use an VM to convert movies is much more SLOW than real machine ? is soo possible to install XP to convert movies and others programs, but, i need see movies on My PC!
Codecs Packs is too crazy man! hehehe.
If anybody know an codec to add sub on any movie my problem is solved!
