Kay, so. If you've seen any of my other posts you'll know that I was having major problems with my comp. Nothing worked so I was told to take it in to Staples (Which I didn't want to do, but had no other choice) I took it in and they changed my hard drive. Put a smaller one in, and put Vista on it. Now I have a Windows 7 burnt disk. And every time I try to run it it just takes me to the burning program that I used. I'm not sure how to actually run it to get Windows 7 back. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

You sure there are files on the disk you burnt. Sometimes I have had that happen to me where I thought the data was there but it wasn't....I think thats what your looking at.

When I look at the properties of the disk it says .iso Any ideas on helping me fix it? I'm getting really sick of Vista.

Try to run it from Vista desktop. Choose Custom install to overwrite Vista partition.

If this fails, find another Win7 installer for your version to try install.

If the file is stil in the .iso format, it needs to be copied to a folder on the HD & burned to a DVD properly with ImgBurn (Freeware) at 4x speed & verify on.

Hello Hartsbell.

I would suggest that after you have copied out or made back-ups of the data you need to save to external media you use Step One of this tutorial at the link below to do a wipe (secure erase) to the entire Hard Disk Drive, running this then using the outline in Step Two #2 to create and format a single 100GB partition using diskpart will get you a clean all and a chkdsk /r for the best possible space to install Windows 7 to.
   Information

After you have made backups of everything you care to save and you want to do a real wipe "clean all" to the Hard Disk Drive (HDD) have a look at this tutorial at the link below, it over-writes everything, all the old Windows code including all the old Windows drivers, giving you the best possible space to install Windows 7 to; it goes hand-in-hand with a clean install.
