I have an HP Laptop Model: CQ50-139WM
The Graphics built is the Intel 45 Express Chipset
It tells me it can use up to 256MB but it reads to me in GPU-Z that its only using 64MB. The advanced settings under the graphics card says the same. This could be whats causing graphics issues. Was told to check BIOS but it offers nothing there..Help would be so appreciated, as it always has. Thanks!

The build in graphics gpu's usually share memory with your RAM. This would reduce the available RAM.

So it will show the minimum, but take more as it needs it? (Gaming, etc)

It shows the memory built into the video card (64Mb), and if it needs more it uses system memory up to (256Mb).

In the bios you can change the amount of ram the GPU uses in most cases...
You say the bios offers nothing but in my bios i must press ctrl+f1 to get the hidden advanced options up, and that is one of them...?? Just a thought,
