I know this might sound as a dumb question, but i just want some input from someone that actually owns a pc with i7. Is it worth the money? I´m thinking of upgrading but it doesnt come cheap so just wanna know it its worth the money. It is noticeably faster???
What are the major benefits of upgrading?

I use my pc for gaming and video editing(software is very heavy), would it def help speed things up with heavy adobe products, for ex... premiere pro, after effects, etc.

Whether or not it's worth it depends completely on what you are coming from. But I don't see this information in your post or your system specs...so I cannot answer this for you.
